There are basically 6 hydroponic growing systems, each having their own unique establishment and supporting requirements, and operating characteristics. Some systems can be operated manually; others require electrically-driven pumps, timers, and special equipment in order to deliver the nutrient solution to and through the plant root mass or rooting medium.
On the following weeks I will talk about 3 hydroponic growing systems that do not require a rooting medium:standing-aerated/circulated nutrient solution, nutrient film technique (NFT) and aeroponics.
